Dr. Lia Melconian ​

Dr. Lia Melconian is the Founder and Principal Dentist at Pearly Whites. A proud Londoner, born and raised, Dr. Lia is living the dream she held from a young age: to become a dentist and entrepreneur serving the community she has always called home.

A graduate of King’s College London, Dr. Lia is often described by her patients as being “far from the typical dentist.” Her ability to connect, reassure, and put patients at ease has led many to travel from across the UK to be under her care.

Her approach is deeply shaped by personal experience. Having once suffered from severe anxiety herself, Dr. Lia understands how fear can affect the body and mind. Through specialised training, she learned techniques to manage and overcome anxiety, insights she has since adapted to transform the dental experience for her patients. This empathy, combined with clear communication and a sense of control, sits at the heart of how care is delivered at Pearly Whites.

Dr. Lia is also a passionate advocate for clinical excellence and continuous learning. She has completed extensive postgraduate training in cosmetic dentistry, orthodontics, and facial aesthetics, guided by some of the most respected figures in dentistry both in the UK and internationally. Her pursuit of excellence is ongoing, driven by a belief that patients deserve the very best.

Beyond dentistry, Dr. Lia is a keen runner and recently completed her first half marathon. You may even spot her at the Fulham Run Club on a Tuesday evening. She also loves travelling with her husband Grant, drawing inspiration from new cultures and experiences.
